Who We Are
Born from collaboration across education, workforce, and philanthropy, our story reflects a regional commitment to student success.
Our Story
Driven by a need identified by community and government partners for greater coordination and alignment across education and workforce systems, the Greater Cleveland Career Consortium (GCCC) was created to support students in designing clear, achievable career pathways.
In November 2021, the Planning and Career Exploration (PACE) framework launched for students in grades 6–12, emphasizing career-connected learning experiences embedded in the school day. In 2022, these efforts culminated in the formal launch of GCCC as a collective impact organization—a network of community members, organizations, and institutions that works by learning together, aligning, and integrating actions to achieve population- and systems-level change through a common agenda, shared measurement, mutually reinforcing activities, continuous communication, and a strong backbone dedicated to coordinating the work.
Through partnerships with school districts and employers, and informed by years of implementation and observation, GCCC expands career-connected learning opportunities and drives continuous improvement to strengthen career readiness and access to opportunities for all students.
GCCC: A Collective Impact Organization
Our collective impact is a network of community members, organizations, and institutions that advance equity by learning together, aligning, and integrating actions to achieve population and systems-level change.
